Scan2Core, Inc. is a non-destructive concrete scanning and coring company located near Seattle, Washington with more than 20 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industries. Our services include but are not limited to: concrete & structural radar imaging, core-drilling, and 3D laser scanning and mapping. We utilize ground penetrating radar or GPR to see through concrete and map subsurface objects below and within concrete such as rebar, PT (post tension) cables, conduits/smurf tube, pipes, slab-thickness, beams, and voids. Our service areas include all of Washington State, Oregon, Vancouver B.C. Canada. Our primary focus has been concrete scanning and mapping of items using ground penetrating radar (GPR), and then core-drilling subsequent to the concrete scanning and mapping. Our services are routinely applied in any slab-on-grade or elevated concrete decks such as hi-rise buildings, hospitals, airports, universities, and numerous retail, residential, and industrial construction sites. We also do utility location and UST (underground storage tank) locations for both commercial and residential clients.

2020 will be a big year for Scan2Core, Inc. as we will be offering 3D Laser scanning and mapping of elevated concrete decks after all subsurface items have been placed but prior to the concrete being poured. We utilize 3D laser scanners to capture the data from multiple scans and then map it utilizing the resulting point cloud coordinates in the way you request it from your control -point locations. We can then use our GPR concrete imaging services to verify and ensure the resulting 3D CAD models are as accurate as possible. Our hope is to better assist our clients by giving them the "missing link" in their BIM (Building Information Modeling) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) needs.
